Tontrans BV from Best (NL) recently purchased five
new lightweight D-TEC tank trailers. Owner
Ton van Genugten explains the reason behind the investment: ‘We want to retain our
competitive position on the fertilizer market. The investment was also made with
sustainability in mind, based on the total weight and fuel consumption.’ The new trailers were bought both
to renew and expand the Tontrans fleet. ‘The D-TEC tank trailers also
retain their value, plus we can continue to sample as we are used to with the VMA
sampling unit and the D-TEC weighing system.
Tontrans BV is a young, dynamic company founded
by Ton van Genugten and his sister Claudia van Genugten. It is a professional logistics service operator in the
heart of Brabant that specialises in the national and international transport
of agricultural and industrial liquid and stackable products. Ton van Genugten also takes part in the Dakar Rally,
as a hobby. Despite his busy
schedule at Tontrans, he still finds the time to take part. ‘It is a highlight of my year to take myself and my team to the limit.’
