This spring, D-TEC built several tank trailers
for Dutch clients with an extremely low weight of around 6.800 kg, including weighing
and sampling. Customer experiences have been positive. Therefore, from August
2017, each transporter will be able to opt for a lightweight tank trailer.
Improved axle load
distribution
Furthermore, our
engineering team conducted an optimization to achieve an even better axle load
distribution, for both the lightweight and standard tank trailer. If a
transporter has fitted his towing vehicle with a front axle of 9 tonnes, the
most ideal axle load distribution is obtained. The above developments have
motivated several transporter - including Berkhof, Jan Bakker, Stassen and Jos
Verbeek - to invest in a lightweight tank trailer.
