Trademark has
optimised its Genset and is putting it on the market under the name Modular
Stage 4. This new type immediately replaces the three-cylinder Modular Genset
which we have been supplying in the past years.
The new Genset has undergone a number of significant changes:
-
Entirely
produced in the Netherlands
- Now has a
four-cylinder motor, so more capacity
- Improved
cooling and enlarging the sump have tripled the maintenance interval to
1200 hours. (depending on operating conditions)
- The noise
level has been reduced to less than 60 decibels, because the enlarged
exhaust is now outside the housing and the motor is in a separate
insulated compartment.
- Genset gets
less dirty on the inside because the ventilation is no longer at the front
but at the side
- The
temperature in the Genset remains about 30 degrees cooler because the
exhaust is no longer in the housing and the ventilator sucks in air
sideways. It first cools the generator and air exhaust from the motor,
before reaching the radiator. This is a welcome improvement against faults
when the set is used in high ambient temperatures.
- The panels
are finished in lightweight aluminium to save weight and to prevent rust
formation
- The Genset is
fitted with a controller in order to read out various functions. However,
in the event of an emergency the controller is not absolutely necessary.
This means that there is less chance of interruptions in the event of a
failure
- The low
weight of 400 kg (excl. tank) and low fuel consumption of an average of
2.0 l/h are the same
-
Post-assembly
on a Flexitrailer S-Line is simple, just as changing the Genset from one
chassis to another. The suspension frame is namely fixed to the supports
for the side-protection and the spare wheel carrier.
